Lights and Shadows of Toraja Pattern
An Indonesian restaurant at a beach club. The white precast concrete walls with the textured of traditional Toraja woodcarvings are illuminated to bring out its fine patterns, while rhythmical pillars covered with coarse concrete are highlighted to express its roughness. Pendant lights shine up to the ceiling and down onto the long table in the middle of the dining hall. Above the bar and stairs, suspended air plants are silhouetted against the illuminated back wall.
