WORK FLOW
Our basic policy when working on projects is full involvement from conceptualization through site supervision.i. CONCEPT
The process begins with a thorough understanding of a projects outline. Through case studies and surrounding light environment surveys, we study the issues and requirements before proposing lighting concepts with supporting CG, model and reference images.ii. SCHEMATIC DESIGN
The concept is developed into lighting methods. Coordinating our work with architects and other consultants, we study and recommend appropriate types, locations and mounting details of lighting fixtures as well as control systems. All this information is then compiled into drawings and specifications.iii. DETAILED DESIGN
Lighting methods are verified according to various aspects such as calculated lux levels and luminance, maintenance methods, initial and running cost estimates, custom fixture costs, etc, before being compiled back into drawings and specifications.iv. TENDER
We can prepare materials for tender and also evaluate tender submissions for quality and cost, and conduct interviews if necessary. We can provide written reports and recommend appropriate tenderers for your projects.v. SITE SUPERVISION
We communicate our design intent to the project builders and make final checks for lighting fixtures and shop drawings. We periodically check construction conditions and review on-site mock-ups to confirm the desired lighting effects. Final adjustments are made before completion, such as aiming of fixtures and scene setting.vi. COMMISSIONING
After a joint review, a defects list is complied and handed over together with a maintenance manual. A record of the lighting environment will be made with measured lux levels and luminance, and project completion photography.
FEE SYSTEM
Our consultancy services are based on an hourly rate, multiplied by the number of working hours dedicated to a project. The following is an indication only.Interior: S$20-30/m2
Exterior: S$2-3/m2
